Ingrid Mendoza, a painfully shy egghead who collects college degrees like some women collect shoes, is working on her second PhD, this one in anthropology. Her thesis, 10 Theories About Dating is proving to be a little difficult to research since she has all the social grace of the common houseplant. As soon as she meets any attractive man, she turns into a babbling idiot. And it certainly doesn’t help that the new department head is Dr. Clark Butler, a man who put the G in gorgeous. Clark, a widower of four years, is finally ready to start dating again.
